Phantom words were first demonstrated by Dr. Diana Deutsch at UCSD. The students navigate to her website, listen to the sounds and then list the words that they hear. They compare with a couple colleagues to see if they share any phantom words. In these two labs the students analyze a dream set for the appearance of color in male and female dreams, and color in older vs. younger dreams. To do these labs you need a collection of dreams to analyze, you can use your students own dreams or use my dream set.
