Great lab activity to investigate Solids, liquids and gasses. Students use a regular water bottle (16.9 ounces/500mL). Bottles are filled half way. Two antacid tablets are crushed and placed in a balloon and balloon is placed over top of bottle and as pieces of tablet fall into the balloon gas is produced to blow up the balloon. My students spend a few days in class learning about bones, ligaments, tendons, skeletal muscles, cartilage, marrow, and tendons.
