"Amazing Race" End of the Year Scavenger Hunt

It was also a great motivation for students to complete and turn in missing work. I happen to love the TV show "The Amazing Race," so I designed the whole activity around the items used on the show. Exponent Dice Game

I created this dice game for students to practice exponents after our multiplication lesson on exponents. The strategy of the game is to choose the base and exponent that will give you the highest answers, because at the end the students will have to total up their answers in order to see who wins with the highest total. This helps with number sense, multiplication practice, and understanding exponential form.
