Westing Game Assessments
This product contains 9 Common Core aligned assessments associated with The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. Four of the quizzes included have two different versions to easily differentiate for your IEP/ special needs students. Every assessment included has an answer key.
In addition to quizzes, I have included my study questions for “Who wants to be a smartie?” This is a review game played at three different points in the novel. The students love it, and it is a great quick review for all.

Jenga Comprehension Questions
I have developed 54 reading comprehension questions. You can cut these questions out, then tape them on to individual jenga pieces. Students take turns drawing the pieces, if the student does not topple the tower, they do not have to answer the question. If they do, they must answer all of the previous questions. I make my students write the prompt as well as the answer. You can change the words however you need to fit the needs of your class.

Figurative Language Matching Card Games
Students will love this hands-on game. Teachers will also love the ability to quickly assess student understanding of figurative language. Inferences & Conclusions riddles game
This is an activity for inferences and conclusions that you could use at stations, as a group activity, or even as independent practice. You can cut the strips up and put them in envelopes, and a partner can read each strip; in essence, they are clues or inferences. Character Trait Charades
Vocabulary is VERY important in ALL state testing. Here's an activity that will introduce important vocabulary while they are having fun! Laminate, cut up and distribute each card to a student. Have students stand up and “act-out” the character trait. I allow my students to partner up to come up with an “acting” plan.
