The Breadwinner Before-Reading Activity
This activity is made to give background knowledge about Afghanistan and get students excited about reading "The Breadwinner". Students can fill out a notice & wonder chart as they learn information through the slides & discussion. Then, on the "Time to Write!" slide, they can answer the questions by flipping over their notice & wonder chart and responding to the questions in a few sentences.
