This is my 15th year teaching in the Georgia public school system - 12 of these years have been in 5th grade special education either in a resource room or co-taught teaching math, reading, and language arts.
My teaching style varies depending upon the subject. I am highly technical and like to include technology into my lessons whenever possible.
I have had the honor to be invited to many testing meetings for GACE, CRCT, and Praxis (standard setting, item analysis, content descriptors, and cut score analysis). These have been very instrumental in my curriculum knowledge. I was recently nominated as Teacher of the Year for my school for the 2015-2016 school year and for my entire county for 2015-2016! I am currently serving on the State Advisory Panel for Special Education for the state of Georgia.
