This simple cause and effect Power Point activity is based on Caron Lee Cohen's The Mud Pony, a Native American legend about a young boy and his magical pony. The first slide reviews the definitions for cause and effect, and then there are 7 statements that either give a cause from the story and ask for an effect, or give an effect in the story and ask for the cause. Answers are provided in red after each example. This activity can be used after reading the story aloud or in small groups.
