I have been teaching since I was 10 years old. It started when I taught dance at my church. I realized that I really loved teaching. During my college years I have taught many grades ranging for Kindergarten to Fifth grade. For six years I have been a substitute teacher until I became a teacher's assistant. I teach children with Autism as well with other disabilities. Someday I would like to be a full-time teacher.
I believe that learning should be a fun experience. Most student will remember a lesson if it was taught with fun in mind. I usually do well working in small groups and one-to-one teaching, I'm very flexible though. I like to use hands on activities to help students grasp any concept.
During my student teaching was awarded Teacher of the Year
In school I really had a thirst for knowledge. I really loved going to school. Even thought I made the usually complaints that most students make. However I had teachers that made me want to learn more. That's the kind of teacher I want to be someday.
