I developed this assignment as the intro to our scientific writing unit. The students were expected to create a Flipgrid infomercial that used C.E.R. to sell a product. We prepared for this assignment by watching many cheesy infomercials. The kids did amazing with this project.

Test Your Boat Building Skills: An Engineering and Floatation Experiment
This experiment will take your students through the engineering design process as they create a boat from aluminum foil. After engineering a prototype, the student redesigns the boat to see if she or he can get it to hold more marbles. The goal is to see whose boat can hold the most marbles.
