This is a lesson from my "Grammar Rocks" series. This lesson introduces proper nouns and focuses on names of people. The lesson starts out reviewing nouns with cubes. Students will roll the cube and name if the picture shows a person, place or thing noun. Next proper nouns are introduced and students are are asked to write their name and circle the capital letter. The skill is then reviewed again and students are given a list of common nouns and have to create a list of proper nouns for each.

I collected these songs and then made them into fun, interactive smart board activities. Children enjoy the pictures as well as the fun rhythm in the songs.
