TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am so excited to begin my 6th year of teaching while adapting to the craziness caused by Covid this past year. I've missed my students, and I've had a lot of time to work on preparing engaging materials for them. For the past five years, I've taught high school and am switching now to 4th grade at my home school where I graduated! They have already proven to be a lot of fun, and I can't wait to make more resources for this age group.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm motivated to flip the script in my classroom on a daily basis by fostering opportunities for my students to become critical thinkers rather than material memorizers. Collaborative learning can sometimes be chaotic, but I can't imagine my classroom any other way. My goal is to create authentic learning opportunities where students have a voice and develop their own understanding as they truly engage with literature.
