Description

If you're looking for a way to get out of the rut of going over multiple choice questions repeatedly for test prep, then this mini unit is perfect for you! Challenge your students as they write to learn while using the popular music from one of Disney's newest hits, Encanto.

This unit is designed as a review for students who already have knowledge of the power standards regarding theme, characterization, figurative language, inferences, text evidence, narrative writing, and expository writing. There are 18 pages of content with additional answer keys and examples included as well.

Before completing each activity, teachers can go over the review page as an opener and use the provided examples to refresh the students on the skill of study. The unit is designed to watch the movie in segments and then complete each activity before moving forward.

Teachers can close the unit by completing the "I Am affirmation page" that goes along with the theme of the movie to try and calm those jitters that come with testing season!
