I spent my public school teaching career as a Middle Years ELA teacher and the resigned to homeschool my own children. I have now been homeschooling for a decade and we love this lifestyle. On top of teaching and creating resources I am also a speaker who frequents workshops and conferences and I run "The Wonder Mentorship" which is a mentorship program for homeschooling parents. I have loads of writing experience as I was a weekly columnist in a newspaper for 10 years and I am now a freelance travel writer.

My style is best represented in the holistic deep dive units that I create. I don't believe that learning should be separated into subjects and I see evidence that everything is so interconnected. When I plan an interest led unit study, my goal is to come at the content from a diverse range of "angles". These units are multidisciplinary. I also believe that students often get bored with "surface level" learning and so I attempt to create studies that go in depth. All of my units are filled with fascinating information, practical applications, games and interesting activities.
