Childhood Memoir - A guided writing project
We’re back with an all new guided writing project! These take all the guesswork out of teaching research and writing and equip students to gather information and write well thought out essays.
The Childhood Memoir will take students through activities of conducting interviews and collecting information about their earliest years - a time where most of us have childhood amnesia. The resource includes 4 guided writing projects plus a bonus design project that culminate in a mini memoir final project complete with personal narratives and photo pages.
Quick Look:
- Immersion in photo books
- First Person Narration, chronological time, show vs tell lessons
- Birth Story Interview & Guided Writing
- Canva photo page templates
- Puzzling Photo interview & Guided Writing
- One Word Memory Prompts
- Tagalong Toy Personified Narrative
- Bonus Me + Little Me Time Hop Picture & Letter
We know that students benefit from reading the types of narratives they’re being asked to write so this resource includes exemplars.
Tweens and Teens are typically highly motivated to write about themselves (a subject they know well). Recommended for ages 12-16 but you could flex to 10+ with support.
