TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Computer Applications and have served as a DECA advisor for four years. I bring my own highly varied professional experience into the classroom to include the following highlights on my resume: Sales and Operations Analyst / mid-sized software company Project Manager / corporate financial institution Operations Manager / boutique event management company Owner / sole proprietorship President and CEO / small corporation Independent Consultant / various small businesses Independent Corporate Trainer / various corporations of all sizes I hold a certificate in meeting and event planning and I am particularly interested in hospitality and tourism, customer service, and restaurant management. A natural-born serial entrepreneur, I have been starting businesses since I was a small child. It seems that I have some experience in practically every DECA competition category! (Except for Automotive Services perhaps...)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a passionate educator with a knack for developing lesson plans that excite and engage students. I specialize in providing creative, hands-on, simulation-based instruction to prepare students for success after high school in both college and career. As a student-centered teacher, I prioritize developing positive rapport with students in order to promote a healthy and respectful learning environment.
