Is "go with the flow" a teaching style? I am lucky to be given a whole year worth of curriculum and resources, but my students need extra and more relatable material to really grasp the concept.

I am not only a teacher of those on the spectrum but a sister to an amazing kid with severe autism. I was raised going to multiple therapies a day, watching my brother accomplish and struggle at daily tasks and communicate differently than others. I knew the day he was diagnosed I wanted to be around the special education world. One day I would love to open a day habilitation center for adults on the spectrum and an after school center for all public education grades. Growing up I saw the struggle of the costs of a babysitter, not being able to do typical after school tasks and getting my brother the experience he also needed. As much as a parent or guardian wants to be there, they also need that time to just be and also know their child is safe and getting that life experience they need. For now, I am loving my job that is also my 2nd home. I love being a life skills teacher!
