TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the past 13 years, I have been a middle school math teacher. However, I began my education career many, many years ago teaching algebra to incoming freshmen at a technical college in South Carolina. I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn to the level of their potential; and as a teacher, it is my responsibility to engage students in a way that best utilizes their learning style. For the past ten years I have used technology extensively to enhance that learning experience.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Born in the north, I grew up in a small town in South Carolina, where we never had to lock our doors. When I left in the morning to go out to play, whether in the yard or riding my bicycle 3 miles to my best friend's house, my mother would simply say, "Be back before dark." Sadly, those days are gone forever. I now live outside of Atlanta, with my beautiful wife of many years (an elementary school teacher), one child, and 3 dogs.
