TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have served as a school counselor in three counties in North Carolina (Cabarrus, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, and Davidson County).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy teaching things with enough meaning that students can "feel" what I am saying. In counseling I try to teach students a skill that they can use on their on and thus do not rely on others to self-soothe or regulate but know they have the skills to get them through what life throws at them.

Brittney graduated from UNC-Greensboro in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Arts & Sciences in Psychology and her Master's degree from UNC-Charlotte in 2014 in Counseling.

Brittney has been a school counselor since March of 2014. She served as a Lead School Counselor for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools 2017-2019 before moving to Davidson County Schools.
