I have been teaching for 8 years in Egypt in different international schools. I have taught between K and 3rd grade. Teaching in international schools has given me the opportunity to be exposed to different curricula like the British, the American and the PYP approach. I have also been exposed to diverse communities as well as colleagues from different teaching backgrounds, which provided me with the opportunity to create my own teaching style. I am currently a PYP elementary teacher trying to create resources for my own class while sharing them here to benefit others on the same boat.
I am a firm believer in students' freedom of choice when it comes to their education as long as it is within a safe environment. I love creating different centres for students to choose how best they might learn. I am also pro-technology when it comes to learning and try to find innovative ways to use it in the classroom. As a PYP teacher, I also love applying certain skills and learner profiles in the classroom that encourage my students to apply different concepts in their local and global communities.
