I have taught English Learners (EL) for 5 years in the public school system. I previously taught high school history for 2 years. I taught English as a Second Language in Tanzania, Africa for 4 months as a missionary.
I mainly work with students in small groups or individually in my classroom in a pull-out setting. I also do in-class collaboration with EL groups.

I attended Kentucky Christian College and Northern Kentucky University for undergrad where I received my teaching degree in high school history. I went to the University of Cincinnati for my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I have been to 11 different countries. I have lived in Tanzania, Africa and Grenada (South Eastern Caribbean) as well as the U.S.A.. I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 10 years. We have three beautiful little boys. I like working on my property to create a permaculture. I tap maple trees for syrup. I am in the process of starting a bee hive. My faith guides my life.
