TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Taryn is a 8th year Special Education Teacher. She taught 4 years as a special education teacher at a Title I school in Waipahu, Hawaii for students in grades 1-4. She also taught 4 years at a Title I school in Washington State for students in grades K-6. Taryn has worked with a variety of children who have different learning needs including autism, ADHD, specific learning disability, dyslexia, anxiety, and social and emotional development needs. She has worked at a Title I school with a diverse English language learner population. These experiences have taught her the importance of effective collaboration, establishing positive relationships, and differentiating her instruction.
