Teach Train Triumph

I'm about to begin my 5th year of teaching!! And I will be joining a brand new school this year too! I have been teaching 1st grade in Idaho for the past 3 years, teaching for a total of 4 years. I'm so happy to go to school every day even when that day can be challenging. I'm really excited to be making products for my classroom and for your students too! I love creating an environment where children feel comfortable and loved, and of course can have fun while learning.

I love my students to be challenged with hands on activities and problem-solving tasks. I'm really into teaching new and different ways to learn to add, subtract and multiply. It's been a transition for me and my students but I believe it to be the best way. You can check out my blog and some products that are related to how I teach math specifically.

Yet to be added

I attended the University of Idaho and got my degree in Elementary Education. I am certified K-8 in the state of Idaho and in Washington. I am also certified as a reading specialist in Idaho. I plan to go to graduate school someday but I can't decide on whether to go for special education or possibly math... not sure...

Outside the classroom I'm a runner, CrossFitter, triathlete and a zumba dancing queen. I found exercise during my student teaching and really find it to be what keeps me sane. I never thought I'd be runner, let along run a half-marathon! I love the movies and spending time with friends and family. I like to cook and bake as well. And I really like TV too, so many shows so little time!
