TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teacher with 24 Years of experience. First two years in grade 5 & 6, 19 years as an eighth grade Science teacher. I started teaching at Lynn Vocational Tech in 2019 teaching Forensic Science and had blast doing it! This year I am teaching Grade 6 Science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very visual, creative and kinesthetic. I love to find and create fresh, engaging lessons for my students and turn them on to Science. Over the last 15 years, I have incorporated a lot of technology into my teaching. I am now working on learning a Blended learning approach to my teaching.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Bachelors in Elementary Education, Middle School Education and Science graduated Cum Laude Earned my Masters in 2003 graduated Sumo Cum Laude 4.0 GPA. I have applied for and been granted over a dozen Peggy Corbett Science grants to buy equipment and/or enrich the Science program at my school.

Undergraduate work Southern Connecticut State University and finished up at Salem State College. Masters Degree earned through Salem State University

Grew up in Connecticut, finished College in Massachusetts, and stayed in Beverly, MA. I was an eighth-grade Science teacher at West Middle School in Andover, MA for 19 years and have been teaching at Lynn Vocational Tech for the last 3 years. Starting new position teaching grade 6 In Revere, looking forward to a new exciting start!
