Research Engineer by profession with a 2-year Master's by Research degree in Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a B.S. undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), both of which are ranked top 5 globally in their respective fields. The scope of my curriculum spans a range of physical, biological, and mathematical topics that culminate in a thorough understanding of environmental behavior. Professional experience is rooted in education, with 5+ years of AP and college-level teaching experience at high school and university campuses. This includes instruction, curriculum development, and university teaching assistance in STEM courses. Expertise lies in instruction of high school and college-level Physics (Mechanics), Environmental Science & Engineering, Precalculus/Trigonometry, SAT/ACT.
I measure my success teaching science courses by presenting the subjects in a clear, concise, and most importantly, visually-appealing fashion. Interweaving equations and concepts with diagrams, animations and simulations are at the core of my teaching style, and it has historically been incredibly effective in pulling up students who otherwise identified with being low-level achievers in STEM subjects. This, combined with logical, fair, and relevant assessments, have gained the respect of numerous student bodies as a whole.
