TEACHING EXPERIENCE

High School Physics Teacher: AP, Honors, and Regular Physics Elementary School (3rd-6th Grade): Project-Based Learning Coordinator for Science-Related Projects.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Science should be about questions, experiments, and discovery. I like to guide my classroom so that the students are in the driver's seat regarding their education. I make sure everything is prepared in the school as much as possible. With everything organized and prepared, students are more clear about what they need to do and are encouraged to seek help from each other instead of me. As a teacher, I try to see myself more as a facilitator and a mediator than a lecturer. I believe most of the teaching should come from the students themselves. I'm here to spark inspiration and show the learners how to use tools to help them grow and succeed in the real world.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

1) Voted Most Inspirational Faculty (2018 and 2021) 2) Physics Olympics - 2018 (NJAAPT) 1st Place Overall Winner - 2019 (NJAAPT) 2nd Place and 3rd Place (Two Different Events) - 2020 (NJAAPT) 2nd & 3rd Place (One Event) 3) State Competition Bridge Building IIT: (2nd & 3rd Overall, 2019) 4) 2nd Place Peace Stars With Me Speech Competition "Rethinking Discipline."

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I work hard on the material that I present in my classroom, but I know that I can only impact so many students in a given year. I hope that by sharing my material with you, I can make an impact on an even greater number of young minds and learners. :).
