TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching on and off since 2006. Follow me @notyourmomsclassroom to see all these great lessons in action!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I pride myself in connecting with middle schoolers, which may not speak well to my maturity level, but it works! I won't lie, some days it is really, really hard, but I love what I do. I find that even I get bored easily nowadays, so I can imagine what its like to sit in a desk for seven hours listening to adults! I like to change up what I am doing daily, but still maintain a routine. To me, the phrase "Not Your Mom's" takes on the meaning of not conforming to tradition. I try to create a contemporary environment that uses a great mix of lessons for different learning styles.
