TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grade 9: Global History and Geography (both Regents and Honors levels); Grades 10–12: Ethnic Studies and Human Rights Issues (two Social Studies electives); and Adjunct College History Professor: Conflict and Consensus in History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is always to provide students with all of the facts and then leave room for them to analyze and interpret the information they've gathered in different ways. You can definitely see my love for detailed notes, graphic organizers, and visuals (especially maps) as a result! With my lessons, I also enjoy developing interdisciplinary activities, implementing multiple learning strategies to meet the needs and interests of all students (encouraging critical thinking and creativity is essential!), and integrating a mixture of primary and secondary sources to further their understanding. The list goes on!
