What educators are saying
My students liked this take on WInnie the Pooh. It fit nicely into my Philosophers start for Ancient China.
Description
These two activities are a fun way to get students to better understand as well as become interested in the principles of Daoism/Taoism (one of the Leadership Philosophies/Three Schools of Thought that developed in Ancient China). After students have finished reading the excerpt “The Tao of Who?” from the book The Tao of Pooh (Winnie-the-Pooh and friends!) by Benjamin Hoff, they can choose to answer one out of four questions that best fits with their learning style via a Comprehension Menu. Afterwards, students can also answer a list of interpretive reading questions (an answer key is provided), which can be reviewed via small group or whole group literary circles.
