TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at a small liberal arts college and at a large Big-Ten university. When I moved to Cyprus for my family, I started a new career at an international school. I bring my research and scholarship standards into the classroom every day, and I find it very rewarding.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In Middle School you need to have a sense of humor and build relationships with the students. Although, I have a very serious point of view, and I encourage higher level thinking, I believe that Middle Schoolers need a little bit of silly along with the serious.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Social Science Research Council Dissertation Fellowship, Dumbarton Oaks Junior Fellowship, Carter Manny Semi-Finalist, Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Dissertation Fellowships in American Art (Declined)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received a Ph.D. in the History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on Modern Architecture.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm originally from New Jersey, but I now teach in Nicosia, Cyprus.
