I have been a science educator in the states of Florida and North Carolina for the past 16 years. I am also a contract curriculum writer for my county's school district for Biology and Forensic Science. Recently I became the sole author of the curriculum for honors Forensic Science II. Prior to teaching, I was an Environmental Scientist for the State Of Louisiana DEQ and a Research Associate in evolutionary biology for LSU.
I believe my students thrive on differentiated instruction and a variety of learning methods, so I endeavor to make relevant learning activities to engage and promote science understanding.
