TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I love sharing in the curiosity and skill building of young learners. I began with a desire to bring deep thinking, innate curiosity and art to learning and I love the experience of connecting with other teachers and hearing about their classes, concerns and strategies.  I went to university and studied fine art and education and my passion grew from there. I have had two books published, Owen's Afternoon Tea and The Call of the Boodier. I have been teaching for over 16 years in Adult education and primary education. My teaching journey has taken me into language, art, year 3,4, 5 and kindy as well as sport and science. I lives with my family in a beautiful northern suburb of Perth, surrounded by nature and the ocean. I love to explore the local beaches, watch the birds and nurture my garden. My home and garden inspire me to be endlessly curious about nature and the world around me. I am currently writing my 4th book about an epic Migrant journey from Scotland to the outback of Australia and the power of finding the inner strength to overcome incredible adversity as the early Pioneers did.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Drawing inspiration from literary luminaries such as Enid Blyton, Kenneth Grahame, and Ernest Hemingway, Molly's passion for writing and art blossomed, eventually leading her to pursue a career as a primary school teacher. Alongside her teaching vocation, Molly has authored two enchanting books: "Owen’s Afternoon Tea" and "The Call of the Boodier," each a testament to her boundless creativity and storytelling prowess. Beyond the written word, Molly finds solace and inspiration in the natural world, nurturing her love of nature through gardening, hiking, and birdwatching in her garden on the northern beaches of Perth. For Molly, writing is not just a craft—it's an adventure, a journey of discovery that she embarks upon with enthusiasm and joy. Through her words and illustrations, she delights in bringing stories to life, inviting readers to join her on imaginative voyages of the mind and spirit.
