I love sharing in the curiosity and skill building of young learners. I began with a desire to bring deep thinking, innate curiosity and art to learning and I love the experience of connecting with other teachers and hearing about their classes, concerns and strategies. I went to university and studied fine art and education and my passion grew from there. I have had two books published, Owen's Afternoon Tea and The Call of the Boodier. I have been teaching for over 16 years in Adult education and primary education. My teaching journey has taken me into language, art, year 3,4, 5 and kindy as well as sport and science. I lives with my family in a beautiful northern suburb of Perth, surrounded by nature and the ocean. I love to explore the local beaches, watch the birds and nurture my garden. My home and garden inspire me to be endlessly curious about nature and the world around me. I am currently writing my 4th book about an epic Migrant journey from Scotland to the outback of Australia and the power of finding the inner strength to overcome incredible adversity as the early Pioneers did.
