TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been in education for 10 years. I have experience in upper elementary reading classrooms, early elementary general education classrooms and reading intervention programs. I am currently an early elementary dyslexia therapist working with K-3rd graders.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students need to be engaged for learning to take place. I try to make learning as fun and engaging as possible so that the students do not realize they are learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was named Elementary Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southeastern State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am also certified to teach GT, SPED, and ESL.
