Description

This is an engaging and intriguing inference activity for upper elementary students!
Students read a short story and make inferences about what is in the suitcase, grocery bag, athletic bag, etc. based on clues from the stories. It includes a simple chart for students to add text evidence and prior knowledge to help them make the inference. After completing the charts, the students use an ActivInspire flipchart to see if their inferences were accurate!
My students LOVED this activity! They were engaged and participated throughout the entire lesson. I also included some helpful hints for teachers to use to make the lesson even more fun and beneficial.

***YOU MUST HAVE ACTIVINSPIRE TO USE THIS FLIPCHART. If you do not, please download my Microsoft Word version of this same activity.
