I've taught first grade for 9 years and I loved it! In 2014 I had the opportunity to transition to a reading interventionist. 80 kids. 13 small groups a day. Inspiring! I have experience teaching in suburban and inner city schools.
My teaching style is hands-on, interactive and energetic. I have very high standards for my students, but that doesn't mean they have to be glued to their seats.

Outside of teaching I love to sew, knit and eat. I enjoy making things for the classroom (especially chair back pockets and personal seat spots), things for our home and of course things to wear. I am also an eater! I love to try new foods and endulge in deliciousness all around. =]
