3 years teaching Geology at East Tennessee State University; 1 year teaching Chemistry at Georgia Southern University; 2 year teaching at Georgia public schools; 3 years of museum docent experience; 3 years of field science experience (paleontology).
My teaching style revolves around hands on laboratory exercises. Many of the laboratory exercises I have created are inquiry based or have an inquiry portion. I feel that the most important aspect students need to understand about science is that there isn't always a known correct answer. Inquiry helps students understand that a major portion of science is discovery, and often the journey is as important as the result.

B.A. in Geology with a minor in Biology from Georgia Southern University; M.S. in Biology with a concentration in Paleontology from East Tennessee State University; Masters of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Secondary Science Education from Georgia Southern University.
I have always had an interest in science. As someone who has been a student, field scientist, and teacher, I hope to use my passion for the subject to inspire others.
