TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I earned a BS in Secondary Social Studies Education in 2015 from Florida Southern College. This is my 8th year teaching high school in Hillsborough County, Florida. I taught Biology and Earth Science my first 3 years. For the last 5 years I have taught primarily AP Human Geography along with an array of electives. I have attended multiple APSIs and the AP Reading. These experiences have helped me to grasp a deep understanding of what students need to be successful in AP Human Geography.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I view my role in the classroom as a facilitator. Students have varying interests and prior experiences and it would be a mistake for me to design my lessons as if they didn't.
