TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've had 38 years experience as a special education teacher - and have enjoyed every minute! Never a dull moment and never the same lesson twice! The majority of my day was spent in a co-teaching classroom so I am very familiar with grade level curriculum and expectations. I modified many lessons and created graphic organizers to help my students study and complete assignments. I am now a substitute for virtual students and with the recent need for synchronous and asynchronous teaching materials, I am in the process of revising my products to allow for printed and online use. Check back often! I've posted much of my work here - I hope it helps you with the important work you do each day.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Realistically positive - relationship driven.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I've recently retired after 38 years of teaching students with special education needs. My main focus has always been to develop engaging interventions that help the student improve skills and participate successfully and independently in the general education classroom. I also have tutored privately for many years and share these lessons and materials here as well. Most of the items in my TPT store are free or priced very reasonably - enjoy!
