What educators are saying

Thank you! This resource led me to create a really awesome activity for my students and they seemed to learn a lot! It's a lesson everyone could use.

Description

Students need to be wise readers - to find main ideas of a text, but also discern if the information is fact or "fake news." Once you have a copy of the book, this packet gives everything you'll need for a fun and engaging unit - including a fun game to build community, detailed lesson plans for 6-7 25 minute sessions, extension worksheets, an editing checklist and a model of a completed project. Using the unique format from the book, students will complete quick research projects on a topic of choice to share with the class. Will their peers be able to guess which two articles are true - and which is the lie? A great activity to use in between units of study, for a multi-day substitute, or for home schooled students. Easily differentiated for all learners.

This product is also available as a Google Slide show, allowing you to project, print or share virtually with students and parents.
