I have been a teacher since 1977: 23 years in kindergarten, 10 in private practice as a learning disabilities tutor, and 8 years in primary grade special ed. I have begun teaching young children beginning French. I hope you find my materials helpful and refer to my blog, goodbyekindergarten.blogspot.com for more materials and lesson plans.
I love children and thrive from being around them. I was a structured teacher with strong classroom management skills. I was able to create exciting, multi-sensory lessons and enjoyed watching the learning take place in my students.
In 1984, I was selected one of the 500 best teachers in the state of Illinois. Also that year, my classroom was videotaped by a special ed cooperative and used to explain special education to school boards from 26 school districts in Chicago's north suburbs. I was nominated three times for the Golden Apple Award in Illinois.

I loved learning French in my youth and am re-learning it now via websites, classes, and teaching beginning French to young children!
