I love having students do things hands on and working on projects. I really enjoy seeing a student being given a goal and a rubric and letting them "go for it" with only my guidance or suggestions. It is great to see the final products and I am often impressed with their level of creativity and hard work. I also enjoy being able to see how they approach the subject matter with their own unique perspective. Coupling this approach with more traditional methods seems to work really well for me. Supporting teachers in their quest to improve science instruction is also a passion of mine. Too many elementary teachers are swamped with ELA and Math and don't have the time to devote to science that the NGSS will require. Also, too many teachers are "afraid" of science but there is no need to be. You got this! And I am here to help!!!
