TEACHING EXPERIENCE

- Gifted & Talented Teacher (K-5) - University Supervisor, Student Teaching Experience - 4th Grade Language Arts Teacher - 4th Grade Virginia Studies Teacher - Student Activities Coordinator

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a Gifted Teacher, I understand how hard it can be to find relevant and rigorous activities for high ability learners. These students often possess a “Gifted State of Mind” that cannot be fulfilled from standardized worksheets. They constantly seek opportunities to problem solve, to challenge themselves, and to think critically on a consistent basis. With limited resources available for my gifted students, I began creating my own authentic learning experiences anchored in critical thinking, real-world connections, and creativity, to enhance student achievement both academically and socially.
