For the Teacher - Emilee Ray

I graduated in 2007, and began teaching 4th grade that fall. I changed to 2nd grade in 2011, where my creativity started to explode for these kids. I got my EL endorsement in 2014, and began my 8th year teaching. I was promoted to full-time Mommy that year as well!

I'll do a song and a dance on my desk, if that will help kids to learn. I try to relate academic concepts to the real-world anytime it is possible (which is frequent). I like to push kids to a high standard, because I believe most kids are underestimated. If a kid can explain to me HOW their technology works, they can understand a lot more than most people believe.

The reason I do this is to glorify my Creator. He gave me the imagination and ability to reach students, so I will bless others with that. It is He that is my purpose. I married my best friend in 2010. We have 3 energetic and sweet children - Crosby, Harmony, Cassidy, a tiny dog named Bruno, and a wonderful life. We have gone through life and death with each other, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I currently work on TpT curriculum and volunteer frequently at my church as a teacher, mentor, and leader at camp and retreats.
