TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 108 years and during that time have taught K, 1st, 2nd grade, 4th, 5th, 6th, and middle school literature and science. My previous career was in architectural and interior design and I bring a love of creativity to all that I do in education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love learning through inquiry and exploration.I use both the Arizona State Science Standards and Common Core in my classroom as the framework for my lesson plans and units.

My greatest award is the success of my students! I love working with kids and nurturing their self-esteem and achievement.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a K-8 certified teacher with a Reading Specialist and Gifted endorsement, Middle Grades Science Certification and a Masters in Educational Leadership. I have a Bachelor's in Architectural Design from Arizona State University and was an architectural and interior designer for 20 years. I went back to school in 2008 to become credentialed in K-8 elementary education and have never looked back!
