Homeschooling mom - began in the 2021-2022 school year
As a homeschooling teacher, I tend to follow a more traditional teaching structure. Each subject I find curriculum or a program to use, pulling from different companies - they call that "eclectic." Most days we follow a school routine...and while I would love to have freedom to be more spontaneous, my part-time job prevents that from happening.

B.S. Elementary Education 2007
Born & raised in Southern Indiana, a true-&-through Hoosier gal. Attended public school K-12th grade, graduated in 2004. Then went on to secure a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2007. Although as a younger child I had big dreams to be an elementary teacher & manage my own classroom, those dreams fizzled during student teaching. As underwhelming as it felt to not utilize my teaching degree, I knew it'd come into play at some point in my life. And here I am, homeschooling my precious son, finding joy in our simple life. In 2008, I married my darling high school sweetheart. In 2016, we welcomed into our family our darling son, born in China just two years prior. We are currently 3 years into the wait of our 2nd darling son via adoption. Our small family leads a very simple, mundane life - and it's totally on purpose & we find immense comfort in our simpleness. I hope my account here can bring creative, colorful touches to your "I-wonder-if-theres-a-worksheet-for-that" arsenal. Happy teaching!
