TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a middle school Language Arts teacher from Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2015 with a degree in Middle School Education with an emphasis in Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. I completed my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Augusta University in August 2017.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to engage students in the Language Arts classroom in order to create a love (or at least an appreciation) of the art of language! If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see students engaged in a variety of activities from day to day. Rarely are we quiet, as discussion is a large part of learning and understanding this subject. Despite the challenges of the job, I am rewarded when students have "aha moments" and begin to show more of an interest. They are what drive me to keep pressing on!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia and summa cum laude from Augusta University.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

University of Georgia 2011-2015 Augusta University 2016-2017

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching most because of the interaction and impact I can have on students. With experience, I am learning that more often than not, the students have an impact on me. Thanks for your support!
