This Google Slides presentation is intended to be used as direct instruction for the Nonfiction Notice and Note Signposts Close Reading Strategy written by Kylene Beers and Robert Probst.

This resource includes:

  • Overview of the signposts strategy for close reading
  • Breakdown of the 5 signposts for nonfiction with definition, anchor questions, and what each signpost may teach
