I have been teaching for a total of 20 years. I am currently teaching 3rd grade math, which is my passion, and I will add Science this year. I have also taught 2nd grade for four years (all subjects with a huge focus on phonics and math fluency). Prior to teaching 2nd grade, I taught 5th grade for ten years (all subjects with the latter years departmentalized in math). In our school, our students vary greatly in academic needs, so differentiation is a must. My activities and resources are all used in my classroom with my students, or have been when I taught that grade. My heart and soul goes into my products based on the need of my students. I pride myself on excellent quality and products that are truly aligned to the Common Core Standards.

Cooperative Groups with Rotations (Math Stations), Teacher Directed, and Independent Practice while incorporating Technology through the use of the Promethean Board, Chromebooks 1:1, Computer-based programs (Kahn Academy, Reflex Math, Symphony Math, Kids A-Z, etc.), along with whole group math activities, driven by NY Engage Math. I use Number Talks and BBY Math every day with my students to build number sense. Using Math4Today spiral review every week has brought increased state test scores for my students. I have now developed this morning work on BOOM so my students can prepare for interactive questions on their state test on their Chromebook.
