TEACHING EXPERIENCE

- 6 months long term sub (Elementary and HS PE) - 2 years working in SPED (18-21 Year olds) - 5 years teaching some combination of Health, PE, Weightlifting, Sports Med - 9 Years coaching various sports (Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Gymnastics)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a firm believer that students learn best with as much hands-on, and fun, learning as possible. I also believe it is vital to teach students to "why" in learning and try to connect as many real-life scenarios as possible. The majority of my teaching relies on teaching students autonomy and requiring them to be independent learners as much as possible. I feel my job is to provide the information and materials, then during class, my job is to facilitate and guide them through their learning through a variety of styles.
