✅ Directions for Play - 2 Options
Option 1
- Cover all of the circles on the heart with a candy kiss or see-through chip
- Students roll a die and uncover that many circles
- Students say the target words they uncovered
Can they uncover all of the pictures before they uncover all 5 bugs?1
Option 2
- Roll a die.
- If a “1” is rolled, student daub a bug.
- If any other number is rolled, students daub that many pictures and say the words.
Can they daub all of the words before they have to daub all 5 bugs?!
TEACHING TIP/IDEA
❤️ I like to use candy the first time we play this Valentine game. Once students learn the game I send it home to have students use it as a roll and say game. They love “teaching” their families how to play this fun game while practicing their articulation skills. It’s a win-win!
