A Collection of Tools to Help Teachers Teach

I have worked as an educational consultant for more than 12 years. Prior to that, I was a teacher, an assistant principal, and a principal. Prior to that, I worked for an educational research laboratory where we worked to help teachers develop effective instruction. As a consultant, I have heard teachers make comments such as, "I can't believe that you got all of that information into one document that is so easy to use!: That is my aim! I put all of the information that you need in one place so that you can easily align your daily instructional content with both the grade level standards and the rigor of the assessments that students will be taking each school year.

These documents are meant to help teachers identify the most important standards and performance expectations at their grade level so that they can use the curricular materials most effectively with the students in their classrooms.

My biggest "awards" have been teacher comments: Thank you! That was the best explanation that I have ever heard! When are you coming back? Can you also develop a document for....?

As I work with teachers, I continue to learn. I then work to be sure that I can share this information with teachers across the country - the aim is to provide our students with the most effective instruction possible. They are our future!
